HUCHUY QOSQO TO MACHUPICCHU 2 DAYS / 1 NIGHT AND HUCHUY QOSQO 1 DAY

Day 01: Cusco – Huchuy Qosqo – Aguas Calientes
We will leave Cusco at 07:30am on a private bus that will take us to Chinchero and then Tauca, the starting point of our trek. We will hike uphill through a mountain landscape with presence of llamas and alpacas until we get to the mountain pass at 4500masl. We will then descend for an approximated 1,5h more to reach the Inca archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo, with 2-level constructions in what used to be a stop in the Inca route to Lares. After lunch, we will continue descending to Lamay, where our private transportation will be waiting for us to take us to Ollantaytambo. We then board an afternoon train that will take us to Aguas Calientes. Upon arrival, we will be accommodated at our hostel.

Day 02: Machupicchu – Cusco
After an early breakfast, we board a bus to go up to Machupicchu and then immediately begin a complete guided tour of the Inca citadel that will take approximately two hours. We will then have free time to walk around, climb the Huaynapicchu Mountain, where one can appreciate spectacular views of all of Machupicchu, the valleys and mountains that surround it, or visit the Temple of the Moon and the fabulous Inca Bridge. In the afternoon, we will meet in the town of Aguas Calientes where, if you like, you can visit and relax in the thermal baths. From here we will take the train back to the city of Cusco, where we will arrive after nightfall.

HUCHUY QOSQO 1 DAY

We will leave Cusco at 8:00am on a private bus that will take us to Chinchero and then Tauca, the starting point of our trek. We will hike uphill through a mountain landscape with presence of llamas and alpacas until we get to the mountain pass at 4500masl. We will then descend for an approximated 1,5h more to reach the Inca archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo, with 2-level constructions in what used to be a stop in the Inca route to Lares. After lunch, we will continue descending to Lamay, where a private bus will be waiting for us to take us back to Cusco. Estimated arrival time around 6.00pm.
