Day 01: Lima - Puno - Titicaca Lake

Transfer airport/hotel in Puno. Excursion to Uros, Amantani Indian floating reed islands on Lake Titicaca. Floating Uros Island and Amantani Island The islands are constructed of the Totora reeds growing along the Lake shore. An hour boat trip takes you to three of the Islands; be prepared for hordes of small children begging you to buy miniature “Balsas”. Island women sell embroidered tapestries. Overnight at the home of an Island Familiy: Amantani Island.

Day 02: Lago Titicaca - Amantani - Puno

Today visit the Taquile Islands. A 30 hour boat trip takes you to this island community in Lake Titicaca famed for its weaving and knitting; textiles can be purchased from the Island weaving cooperative. There are no hotels on Taquile. Return to Puno around 17:30. Overnight in Puno.

Day 03: Puno - Lima

Transfer Hotel/ airport. On the way you will have the opportunity to visit the Sillustani ruins; the visit takes around two hours including traveling time. Sillustani, (35 KMS, from Puno) Circular burial towers or “ Chulpas ” overlook lake Umayo; Probably built by one of the tribes who ruled the area before Inca domination.
