URUBAMBA RIVER RAFFTING 01 DAY

A day of rafting will teach you some basic techniques, show you some nice scenery near Cusco, and give you a wet, thrilling ride.

Cusco – Urubamba – Cusco
09:00 hrs. After we pick you up from your hotel we will departure to Urubamba River at the Sacred Valle y of the Inkas. Our Guide – Instructor will familiarize you with the equipment and will give you instructions for our journey.
We will sail for about two and a half hours into class II, III, IV + AND V, depending upon the piece of the river we have chosen; could be: Huambutio II, IV OR V, the best season to enjoy this trip is from December to April. Lunch, return back to Cusco city, arriving around 18.00.

What you need to bring and carry

  • Sandals
  • Shorts, a strap for sunglasses so they don´t fall off

APURIMAC RIVER RAFTING 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS

The Apurimac is rated, by those who know, among the world´s 10 best rivers to run for its variety of rapids and nice climate. The Apurimac-Ucayali-Amazon River is the longest river in the world, but too turbulent to be useful like the Nile. The name of the river may mean God Talking, or Thunder under the Mountain.

Day 01: Cusco – Apurimac River
At 9:00 am we go from Cusco five hours southeast to the Wallpachaca Bridge, 2,000 meters asl and 1,400 meters below Cusco. After lunch our guide will give safety instructions and demonstrate the equipment. We will raft for 2
hours on class II and III rapids. Then we relax and camp on the beach.

Day 02: Apurimac River
After breakfast we pack up camp, before rafting down class III and IV rapids for about seven hours, stopping only for lunch, and to navigate some class IV rapids. Then we will set up camp and rest after dinner on the beach.

Day 03: Apurimac River
This is our stronger rafting Day, campsite in the afternoon...

Day 04: Apurimac River - Cusco
After breakfast we raft down some class III, IV and V rapids for about 5 hours before ending our adventure at the Kunyac Bridge. We have lunch and then return to Cusco, arriving at around 19:00 hrs, we can also, see a video
of the trip in a Pub in the night...

  • Clothes that dry quickly
  • Preferably not cotton.
  • Warm clothes for when we get out of the river and camp, so you don't catch a chill. Enough clothing for 3 days

  • Shorts that will dry overnight because the wetsuit and kayak are slippery when wet. Sleeping bag

  • Flashlight. Sunscreen
